Andy's Professional Jewish Background
In addition to having a strong background in secular education, Andy
strongly identifies with the Jewish community.
After graduating from
an Orthodox Jewish Day School, Andy attended the Joint Program between
Columbia Univeristy and the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. He
then taught at the Solomon Schechter Academy of Dallas, Texas for
several years prior to earning his master's degree in Jewish Education
from the Davidson School of Education at the Seminary.
Andy continues
to teach in a variety of different venues at his synagogue, Adat
Shalom. His experience at Camp Ramah in Wisconsin, as a camper,
counselor, teacher and Rosh Eidah have strongly
influenced his professional educational career.
