Motivation 101
|
Andrew Pass Educational Services, LLC, (Pass-Ed) an independent educational services firm specializes in professional development,
curriculum development and program evaluation. We have worked with educational organizations across the
United States. The firm is very excited to expand our professional development program by offering a workshop to help educators
instill enthusiasm and encouragement to students and faculty alike at the beginning of the school year.
Pass-Ed would welcome the opportunity to partner with your institution to bring this workshop to your community.
Why Is This Workshop Needed?
A group of CEOs were sitting around and having dinner with their wives one evening. Each of the CEOs at the table
earned between 1 and 3 million dollars a year. The conversation turned to teachers. The CEOs started disparaging
teachers, joking about how little money they made. Finally one CEO turned to one of the wives and condescendingly said,
“You are a teacher, right? What do you make?” The woman responded, “I make opportunities for people.
I make minds come alive. I make people realize the value in themselves and others. I make the future.
What do you make?”
Teachers should realize the value of the work that they add to the world. Every day when you get up in the morning
you can truly say to yourself, “I make a difference,” because you do.
As you and your students come off the lazy days of summer, everyone needs a kick to get energized.
This workshop will get the blood flowing ... and the creative juices too!
Objectives of This Workshop
In this workshop, participants will be exposed to techniques to motivate teachers to teach and students to learn.
Team building and individual goals will be stressed. You will walk out of this dynamic workshop energized and excited!
Structure of This Workshop
This seminar will highlight techniques that educators can use to:
 | Motivate and encourage their students
 | Engage their students, making them active and enthusiastic participants in the learning
process
 | Motivate parents/caregivers to reinforce the joys and benefits of learning
 | Mentor and support their students as they prepare for standardized tests
| | | |
Participants will learn from one another and develop strategies for incorporating effective
practices shared by others into their own teaching and learning communities.
...But most importantly, you will leave this workshop excited about the possibilities of the upcoming year!
Hours and Place of This Workshop
This workshop can be structured as a half-day or full-day event.
Ideally, we will need to have enough computers with internet access for
each participant’s use. We would also like access to an LCD computer projector.
